MEET THE DENTIST

DR. SUZANNE BAPTISTA
BSc., D.D.S., F.A.G.D.

Dr. Suzanne Baptista has been in practice for over 18 years, graduating from the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at Western University. Dr. Baptista was awarded the Academy of Dentistry for the Disabled’s Merit Award in recognition of her desire to serve and impact others by improving their dental health and well-being. Upon graduation, Dr. Baptista pursued postgraduate studies in a one-year General Practice Residency Program at the State University of New York (Stony Brook). Here, she gained valuable experience in hospital-based emergency dentistry and complex restorative cases. She is a past clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.

Continuously seeking further professional development opportunities, Dr. Baptista has also obtained advanced implant training for general dentists and attends coursework through the Spear Education facility at the Scottsdale Centre for Dentistry in Phoenix, Arizona. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Baptista completed the mini-MBA program for dentists through the Schulich School of Business. Dr. Baptista is dedicated to continuously expanding her dental expertise and, in June 2013, was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an organization that recognizes excellence in dentistry through a commitment to lifelong continuing education.

Dr. Baptista lives in the Toronto area and is both a dedicated wife and mom. When not attending to her patients’ needs, you will find her experimenting with new recipes, training for a half marathon, or running after her two very active sons. In recent years, she and her family have had a special interest in volunteer work within the community and through the 1000 Smiles! Dental Project in the Caribbean.

Dr. Baptista believes that in our practice, people come first and that this personalized service is a necessity for exceptional dental care. Our practice’s philosophy of gentle dentistry and attention to detail is guided by Dr. Baptista’s desire to always provide the best for her patients.
